Visible fixed braces for adults

Fixed braces (multi-bracket appliance) consist of brackets, small metal plates that are bonded to the teeth with an adhesive, and super-elastic metal archwires that connect the brackets together and are responsible for forming the dental arches.

Shaping teeth efficiently with fixed braces

With these braces, a specific amount of force can be exerted in a specific direction on each individual tooth, so that it aligns into the desired position within the dental arch. For example, teeth can be straightened, rotated, or pushed into a specific location. These braces can also be used to correct a lack of space for teeth that are not in the row of teeth.

Fast, precise, and intensive treatment with fixed braces

This physical tooth movement is possible only with fixed braces. Therefore, pronounced tooth misalignments can only be treated with fixed appliances. In addition to fixed braces, other aids can be used. These include power chains, tension or compression springs, and other non-compliance devices. The use of fixed braces and other aids maximizes the results achieved, since they work around the clock.

Self-ligating brackets for a gentle and shorter treatment

In our practice, we use mainly self-ligating bracket systems belonging to the latest generation of brackets. Self-ligating brackets do not require additional aids such as wire ligatures or elastics to entrap the archwire, resulting in lower frictional forces. Other positive side effects of self-ligating brackets are less accumulation of food residues and improved cleaning options.

Tooth-colored brackets for optimal aesthetics

With brackets, there is a choice between metal and tooth-colored ceramics. Accurate physical and three-dimensional movements of the teeth can be accomplished with both. There is a significant difference in the acceptance of the brackets. Due to the crystal clear color, ceramic brackets are very discreet and unobtrusive. As a result, far better aesthetics are achieved.
